Power through partnership

cPower is committed to building a framework for community participation through the provision of pathways and supports for communities to participate in renewable energy projects.
WE ARE A CORK-BASED SOLAR DEVELOPER WITH INTERNATIONAL SOLAR EXPERTISE
We source, develop and engineer our projects in house.
We are developing a portfolio of strategically located solar farms across Munster
We believe that solar farms are an important source of clean energy. And when located in rural or regional areas can bring substantial new investment and economic benefit to communities

Community benefit fund

cPower will contribute towards a community benefit fund as a percentage of the MWh produced by the solar farm

Minimal physical impact

The installation of the panels is done in a sustainable manner that allows for minimal physical impact on the land allowing the panels to be easily removed

Low visual impact

Most impacts can be screened off with planting of trees/shrubs

Opportunity for community investment

cPower is committed offering the community an opportunity to invest in and take ownership of a portion of the project
OUR MISSION
In response to the accelerating climate change crisis the Government of Ireland have committed to ambitious targets to decarbonise the economy. To date Ireland has been lagging behind our EU partners. In response to this Ireland has now pledged to ambitious targets and has put policy frameworks in place to ensure these targets are achieved. cPower has identified a number of areas where there is a good combination of grid access, suitable land and good resources. We are specifically focusing on these areas and are seeking landowners to partner with. Having a solar farm on your land will generate a steady rental income that is not subject to market fluctuations. The life of a solar farm is 30 to 35 years so income for this period is known in advance. During the term of the lease you have the right to sell the land as the lease will move with the title. During the operation of the solar farm you have the right to have site security and biosecurity protocols protected. When a solar farm reaches the end of its lifespan it will be decommissioned and the land will be returned to its original condition.
We take care of everything

cPower / Landowner partnership
cPower / Landowner partnership process
We are seeking to develop solar projects across Munster working in partnership with landowners and other businesses to realise the full value of their land assets.
after the site is confirmed as an appropriate location for a solar farm, our team will identify all technical and environmental constraints, and produce a design appropriate for and sensitive to the local area.
cPower will undertake an environmental assessment if the proposal and (if acceptable) will apply for planning permission. We will also work with ESB to secure a connection to the grid for the product.
cPower will manage the entire development process at no cost to the landowner.
